So, this isn’t necessarily “celebrity gossip” but, I came across a blog with an interesting debate on how men treat light skinned women differently than dark skinned women. I found it interesting because I’m fascinated by how many men don’t want to be judged by their skin tone, yet, they do it to women?
I’m a dark skinned black women…So I’ve heard it all. I’ve heard that dark skinned women are ugly, bitchy, loud, demanding, too assertive, too opinionated, too bossy etc…My own boyfriend gets in a tiff at times and walks around mumbling “this is why I can’t date another sista”….Well, excuse me friend. I’m sorry for not running away with my head held in shame when you piss me off.
I personally feel like anyone that shoots a person down because of their race is a coward. Some people doesn’t want to date “sistas” because yes, we are strong. Yes, we are opinionated but, when did having a mind and an opinion become a bad thing? When did being able to handle your own business and support yourself become a less desirable trait? Ugh… the stupid things dummies say!!
I digress, so this article (entitled How to talk to Redbones) is talking about how men try to find different ways to approach light skinned women vs dark skinned women. Some men say you have to ignore the red bones because they get so much attention anyway, some say you have to spoil them and buy them things, some say you have to treat them like crap.
Sorry but, isn’t EVERY woman different? And why is there a “method” to approaching light skinned women? Those chicks go poo just like everyone else on the planet. Man, I can’t stand when someone is worshiped over something they had nothing to do with! Her light skin doesn’t make her better than me just like my dark skin doesn’t make me better than her…I’m giving the article a side eye. I know BlogXilla said the article isn’t personal but, I’m still side eyeing nonetheless…

Everybody needs to just stop walking around in ignorance about this skin color issue. light skin is not better than dark skine and dark skin is not better than light skin There’s a stereotype that says that light skin and redbones are wifey material only. That’s not true. There is no such thing as the most beautiful woman in the world. everyone is equal. It shouldn’t matter what the skin tone of a woman is. If you love her and she loves you then that’sall that matters.
